The Responsibilities of Choice

My father was big on sex. His advice to his three sons was to get out there and have as much sex as possible, with as many girls as possible, before you locked yourself down in marriage. I’ve always wondered – but never asked – what advice he gave our sister.

In any case, it was bad advice. It served to hyper-sexualize me. By the age of 9 I was a tail-chasing, porn-consuming horn-dog. Fortunately, I was more of the begging dog kind than a successful Best-in-Show dog, and I struck out a lot. But I did have a fair amount of sex – and a lot of it stupidly unprotected. Thankfully I did not sire any out-of-wedlock children or pick up any diseases.

Sadly, the same can not be said for a lot of you out there.

I’ll Trade You My Guns For Your Abortions

At 9:30 am December 14, 2012, every American’s life changed for the worse. One evil man with three guns robbed us all of 26 wonderful lives filled with hope and potential, including 20 children between the ages of 5 and 10. It sparked fear, tears, doubts, and feelings of hopelessness in all of us – and I very much doubt those negative emotions will go away any time soon.

Plus, the murders in Newtown, CT, sparked a political firestorm as many people called for stricter gun laws. Some even called for the repeal of the Second Amendment of the US Constitution which guarantees the right to own and carry arms.

Meanwhile, on the same day, an estimated 3,500 other children were being murdered as well. Children filled with potential. Children that somebody most assuredly would have loved. These murders also sparked fear, tears, doubts, and feelings of hopelessness.

Ironically, many of the people who called for stricter gun control laws in the wake of the Sandy Hook Elementary massacre are not concerned about the deaths of the other 3,500 children. They call their deaths “abortion” and fight tooth and nail to keep the practice legal.

But I’ll make you a deal, Pro-Abortion people: I’ll trade you my guns for your abortions.

A Tale Of Two Flip-Flops: Today The Right Foot

I only know two things about pedicures: ladies like to get them, especially if they are going to wear open-toe shoes, and politicians have them – metaphorically speaking – when they want to change their position on an issue.

Some political pedicures are unsuccessful and leave a candidate with ugly feet. Such was the case in Obama’s flip-flop on the gay marriage issue. Obama changed his stance because he had been backed into a corner, and he tried to deflect his sudden swerve by implying that it was a parenting issue.

What it really showed is that our current President is interested in polls, not leadership.

Mitt Romney also has a major social issue flip-flop to answer for. Once firmly pro-choice, Romney now professes to be staunchly pro-life. He’s been criticized by the Left for taking the Obama-forged road of political expediency. However, a deeper examination of the facts reveals something very different.

In fact, it shows just how pretty Mitt Romney’s feet really are.
